Andalucia - DOs Condado de Huelva Malaga, Montilla-- Moriles, Jerez/Xeres Sherry Manzanilla de Sanlucar Canarias - DO Tacoronte-Acentejo.

Climatic factors: Hot, subtropical, ranging from hotter Mediterranean influences in the east to slightly cooler (though still veryhot) Atlantic influences in the west. Much ofthe area semi-arid canaries volcanic.

Cultural factors: Strong early influences from foreign trade and long h(Moorish rule; pre-Christian traditions from Phoenicia and Greece; export mentality.

Gastronomic factors: World's earliest fine wine - sack - a good mix of seafood and meat though the land and climate lend themselves best to fortified wines. Of these latter, lighter, drier styles have evolved to match perfectly with shellfish.
