Plantation Vineyards has served as a boys' school, known as
Washington Academy, a Civil War garrison, a courthouse, and a
dairy. Charles H. Flemer purchased Ingleside in 1890 when it
became a winery.

Villa Appalaccia Winery is
situated above the Rock Castle Gorge National Forest at an
altitude of 3500 ft. The ambiance of the winery is very much that
of a Tuscan country house. The vineyard was planted in 1989 and
the winery was licensed in 1996.

Hall Vineyards
A fresh, new winery! White Hall
Vineyards, located in the town of White Hall near the Blue Ridge
Mountains and west of Charlottesville, Virginia, produced its
first commercial vintage in 1994.
Windy
River Winery
Begun in 1994, Windy River planted
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay. The vineyard was
completed in 1997 with the addition of Viognier, Cabernet Franc,
and Pinot Noir.
