Virginia Wineries

Barboursville Winery
Quite a selection of wines, including Merlot, Cabernet, Chardonnay and much more. Established in 1976, Barboursville now has 90 acres of vines growing.

Chateau Morrisette
With a winery and restaurant, Chateau Morrisette sponsors a large number of events every year.

Ingleside Plantation Vineyards
Built in 1834, Ingleside Plantation Vineyards has served as a boys' school, known as Washington Academy, a Civil War garrison, a courthouse, and a dairy. Charles H. Flemer purchased Ingleside in 1890 when it became a winery.

Oakencroft Winery
A fine collection of Chardonnays, Merlots, and other blended wines. Oakencroft is based in Charlottesville, Virginia and is easy to reach from other popular sites.

Oasis Winery and Vineyard
Oasis Winery has won many awards for their fine sparkling wines. They are located near the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. Amongst their main vines are Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

Piedmont Vineyards
Located in Middleburgh, Piedmont Vineyards was established in 1973 with five acres each of Chardonnay and Semillon vines, the first commercial planting of vinifera grape varieties in Virginia.

Prince Michel Vineyards
Located in Virginia, Prince Michel puts out a large range of wines under its own and the Madison Ridge label. It also puts out a fine sparkling wine. Wine types include Cabernet, Reisling, Chardonnay, white Burgundy, and more.

Rockbridge Winery
Rockbridge produces Chardonnays, White Rieslings, Cabernets, Pinot Noirs, and others as well as a series of dessert wines. The grapes here were planted in 1988.

Tarara Vineyards
Tarara Vineyards also has a Bed & Breakfast associated with it! They have a good selection of wines - pinot noir, chardonnay, cabernet, and much more.

Villa Appalaccia Winery
Villa Appalaccia Winery is situated above the Rock Castle Gorge National Forest at an altitude of 3500 ft. The ambiance of the winery is very much that of a Tuscan country house. The vineyard was planted in 1989 and the winery was licensed in 1996.

White Hall Vineyards
A fresh, new winery! White Hall Vineyards, located in the town of White Hall near the Blue Ridge Mountains and west of Charlottesville, Virginia, produced its first commercial vintage in 1994.

Windy River Winery
Begun in 1994, Windy River planted Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay. The vineyard was completed in 1997 with the addition of Viognier, Cabernet Franc, and Pinot Noir.
